Privacy Policy

Routine is a workout logging app for iPhone, made by EOTT Tech ("we", "us"). This policy says what we collect, why, where it goes, and how to get rid of it. It's written to be read, not to cover us.
What we collect
Your account
You sign in with Apple. We receive the name and email address Apple shares with us — which, if you choose "Hide My Email", is a relay address rather than your real one. We use it to identify your account and for nothing else. We don't send marketing email.
Your training profile
During setup you tell us your goal and the area you want to focus on, your experience level, the equipment you have, where you train, and optionally your name, age, gender and any injuries or limitations. The optional answers really are optional; you can skip them and change any of them later under Profile → Edit.
Some of this is health-related information. We collect it for one purpose — putting the workouts you can actually do, for the goal you actually have, at the top of the list — and we don't use it for anything else.
Your profile photo
If you add one, the image is uploaded to our storage on Amazon S3 and your profile keeps a link to it. It's used nowhere but your own Profile tab. Skip it and nothing is uploaded; remove it and the link is dropped from your profile.
Your training log
The workouts you do, the sets, reps and weights you log, when you trained and for how long, and any notes you write on a session or an exercise. This is the core of the app and it's stored on your account so it follows you between devices.
Feedback you send us
If you use the in-app feedback form, we store what you wrote along with your account id and the app version, and email it to our support address through Mailgun. If Apple shared an email address with us, it's included so we can reply.
Usage analytics
We use Amplitude to understand how the app is used — which screens are opened, where people drop out of setup, whether a feature is working. These events are tied to an anonymous identifier, not your name or email. We don't send your training log or your profile details to Amplitude.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user id and your purchase receipt from Apple; it never sees your payment details, and neither do we.
What we don't collect
Your location, your contacts, your photos, or anything from other apps. We don't use advertising identifiers and there are no ads.
App configuration
We use Firebase Remote Config, from Google, to change settings like the number of free workouts without shipping an update. The app asks for the current values and receives them; the request carries an install identifier generated by Firebase, and no profile or training data goes with it.
Exercise demonstrations
The animations and instructions for all 250 exercises ship inside the app. Opening one makes no network request and tells nobody what you looked at.
Where your data lives
Your account, profile and training log are stored on our server, hosted on MongoDB Atlas; profile photos are stored on Amazon S3. Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. A copy of your workouts and log is also kept on your device, so the app works with no signal in the basement of a gym.
Who we share with
Only the providers named above — Apple, Amplitude, RevenueCat, MongoDB, Amazon Web Services, Mailgun and Google (Firebase) — and only the data described for each. They process it to provide their service to us. We don't sell personal data, and we don't share it with advertisers or data brokers.
We'd disclose data if legally required to, and we'd tell you unless the law prevented it.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. Delete your account and it's gone — see below.
Deleting your data
Settings → Delete Account, inside the app. This removes your account, profile, profile photo, saved workouts and entire training log from our server and from the device. It's immediate and it can't be undone. Analytics events already sent to Amplitude are anonymous and aren't tied back to the deleted account.
Your subscription is managed by Apple and isn't canceled by deleting your account — cancel it in your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Deletion is self-service in the app; for the rest, contact us and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're in the EU, UK or California you have specific statutory rights to these things, and we honour them without the paperwork.
Children
Routine isn't for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you think we have, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top is the date of the current version.
